Has anyone tried to approximate the percentage of questions posted here that are also on-topic on Cross Validated and Data Science?

  • $\begingroup$ Except reinforcement learning and algorithm or conceptual questions pretty much all...based on my experience I would say 90-95%...but recently questions about RL is increasing. $\endgroup$ – DuttaA Nov 8 '18 at 12:06

That's as subjective as asking any of these four.

  • What % of cross validated questions are also on topic on data science?
  • What % of data science questions are also on topic on cross validated?
  • What % of cross validated questions fit better into the wider AI field?
  • What % of data science questions fit better into the wider AI field?

If we asked a thousand people these five questions independently, we'd probably not get a single exact duplicate. If we ran the tuples of five answers from each of the thousand as one input vector per example into an auto-encoder, we'd probably get a few dozen distinct groupings out of the thousand examples.

If someone donated a few hundred thousand to set up the focus group, we'd probably be able to draw some more objective conclusion.

$\begingroup$ We might disagree on a few questions but agree on most of them (hence "approximate" in my question). $\endgroup$ – Franck Dernoncourt Oct 5 '18 at 4:29
